Abstract

This internship report is about my experience as a Data Consultant at Sparkle Consulting, a strategic data consultancy based in Tallinn, Estonia, part of the Cronos Group. From July to October 2024, I worked on various projects, primarily focusing on data governance, AI, and automation. Initially, I researched the EU AI Act and conducted market research on AI use cases, but the internship evolved due to changes in the Estonian market, which is not yet fully prepared for the regulations. I gained hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform tools, such as Power BI and Power Automate, creating an Estonian-language website for Sparkle Solutions and automating business processes for a Belgian client. I also contributed to workshops and internal presentations. This internship allowed me to develop technical skills, including AI model creation, data governance, and automation, and enhanced my understanding of the societal implications of data science.
