Abstract

The study investigates the effectiveness of the Critical Friend Method (CFM) in developing sustainable change agents among students. The study analyses students' views on the CFM's influence on critical thinking and sustainability through focus group interviews. The study shows that the CFM is useful in improving critical thinking abilities and promoting conversations about sustainability concerns. The study highlights the importance of organised CFM sessions with a facilitator and indicates a request for additional time for developing critical thinking skills. Education is acknowledged as a means to increase awareness and agency towards sustainability. The integration of CFM into pedagogy enhances sustainable entrepreneurship education. The CFM provides a learning experience that emphasises collaboration, critical thinking, and the integration of sustainability principles. The research discusses the practical implications of implementing the CFM in education, highlighting its potential to create change agents. The study provides insights for educators and curriculum designers to create effective approaches for fostering sustainability education and cultivating agents of sustainable change.
