Abstract
Large corporate organisations are commonly identified as significant contributors to the problem of environmental degradation. Consequently, they are increasingly expected to take a role in the sustainability transition. However, while the extant literature acknowledges that both new entrants and large corporate organisations are essential for an industry’s sustainability transformation, addresses current literature new market entrants as the trigger for sustainable institutional entrepreneurship. For this research, I will look at sustainable institutional entrepreneurship initiated within the boundaries of a large corporate organisation pushing for industry-level change. By taking a qualitative research approach, are the barriers and drivers explored of sustainable institutional entrepreneurship ignited within a large corporate organisation in the airline industry. This research presents a multilevel framework of barriers and drivers of sustainable institutional entrepreneurship ignited within large corporate organisations.
