Abstract
For the minor in Semester 5 of the study program Global Responsibility & Leadership at Campus Fryslân I was doing an internship minor at the dutch solar panel company enie.nl from September 2021 until February 2022 onwards. My position was the one of a sustainability intern. Following I was working independently on matters surrounding the B-Corporation status of the company, was coming up with ideas or sessions on how to make enie.nl even more sustainable inside the office, was trying to raise awareness surrounding the issue, and additionally was assessing their sustainability performance inside but most importantly along the supply chain. My main tasks were the data collection, research, calculations for, and final creation of the sustainability report of the company. I was mainly working independently and creating tasks and plans for myself with little external input or checkups. I managed to create a comprehensive sustainability report covering various social and environmental sustainability aspects and the performance of enie.nl regarding all of them. Overall I experienced the internship as a challenge with many ups and downs. Personally, I would have wished for more supervision of my host supervisor of enie.nl during the time and more guidance or tasks given. An additional factor was the measures surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic which for example led to myself having to work from home most of the time.
