Abstract

In this report, I reflect on my internship experience at the can do company, an innovative consultancy based in Amsterdam focused on sustainable transformation. I was drawn to this role because of my interest in consultancy’s versatility and the opportunity to engage with diverse business practices. Starting in September 2024, I deliberately chose an unstructured internship without a fixed assignment to maximize my learning potential across a wide range of projects. During my internship, I contributed to various client projects, including work with Centraal Beheer, VLK, LIOF, ABN AMRO, and Swiss Sense. My responsibilities ranged from facilitating client sessions, conducting data analysis, and managing projects to supporting product development initiatives. I was involved in preparing materials for sessions, analyzing stakeholder data, developing product prototypes, and coordinating logistics for events. Through these experiences, I developed critical skills in project management, stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and analytical thinking. This internship allowed me to apply the knowledge gained from my Global Responsibility and Leadership degree while identifying areas where I could grow further. Overall, my time at the can do company provided a strong foundation for my future career, reinforcing my interest in consultancy and my passion for working in dynamic, impact-driven environments.
